Let's make it a Day of the Girlpreneur!

Since 2012, the United Nations has marked October 11 as the International Day of the Girl. https://www.un.org/en/events/girlchild The day aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face, while promoting girls' empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights.

On Day of the Girl 2020, SheEO Academy is going to recognize this day by highlighting the accomplishments of girls who decided to become entrepreneurs. We are giving girls who have participated in our programs a platform to pitch their business and tell their story. These girls ages 12-16 have created products or services and have gone through steps to set up their business or organization. It is important for young girls to see role models their age and that look like them.

Jillian and Victoria Felder are founders of the The Pageant Sisters Podcast. The sisters hold the titles of 2020 USA National Miss Virginia Preteen and 2020 USA National Miss Old Dominion Jr. Teen. Sienna, Chelsey and Kiera are friends and founders of FingerLoopz Couture. Sienna is a former participant the youngest co-founder who recently turned 12 years old. Lauryn Mills has finally launched her non-profit Girls Steps to Success to create a space for teenage girls like herself.

Jillian, Victoria, Sienna and Lauryn all give some credit to SheEO Academy for giving them the encouragement to pursue these ventures and the information to do it wisely. Tell a young girl to join other girls for this free, empowering event. Register at https://dayofthegirlpreneur.eventbrite.com.
